DAVIS, CA -- How should the Adult Use of Marijuana Act be implemented in Davis? If you're a resident, the city wants to hear your opinion.
The city has created a three-question poll that asks if residents should be asked to grow their own marijuana, and if dispensaries selling the drug should be allowed in Davis. The poll, which will be open until March 21, can be taken at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r...
Last November, Prop 64 -- the Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA) became effective via voter approval, thereby legalizing personal consumption, personal cultivation and a commercial cannabis industry. The City of Davis is in the process of drafting regulations and is asking for feedback from residents to help guide their work.

Next steps for the development of cannabis regulations in Davis include a March 8 Planning Commission public hearing on a proposed cannabis ordinance regarding personal use cultivation, followed by a March 21 City Council Cannabis Workshop.
Then, the City Council is expected to conduct hearings on proposed Cannabis Ordinances in the April – June timeframe.
