Grant Applications for Davis Cooperative Community Fund are due by April 5

The Davis Food Co-op will be accepting grant applications for the Davis Cooperative Community Fund from now until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 5. The fund, which is supported by donations, offers yearly grants to non-profits and co-ops.
Funds are matched by the Davis Food Co-op and the Twin Pines Cooperative Foundation. Here's what you need to know, via the Co-op's Julie Cross:
Over $14,000 in grants has been awarded in years past to organizations based in Davis or serving Yolo County, and dedicated to working on issues in agriculture, food and hunger, community and social problems or the environment. In past years, grant amounts have ranged from $80 to $400 per organization.

Details on eligibility for grants as well as actual applications may be obtained here, on the Davis Food Co-op web site, or in person at the Co-op. Applications will be accepted through 5 PM on Friday, April 5, 2013.
The Davis Food Co-op is a full line member-owned supermarket specializing in natural, organic and minimally processed foods. The Co-op is open to the general public to shop and join.
