Davis Man Rented a ZipCar the Day He Went Missing (AUDIO)
Daniel Brian Thompson was last seen on April 12.

UPDATE: "The Davis police have now confirmed that Daniel used his Zip Car account to use a car in Sacramento last Saturday April 13, 2013. However Daniel and the car have never returned," according to the Bring Daniel Thompson Home Facebook page. "Police say that we should continue searching Davis and Sacramento as these are the last places Daniel was known to have been. Having a car widens the search area, but we still want to continue searching close to home as well."
UPDATE: Daniel Thompson's last communication was via text on April 13, according to Davis Police Lt. Paul Doroshov. This Facebook page has also been created by a friend to aid in the search.
The administrators of the page say that Thompson bought an Amtrak ticket on the day he went missing, but it's unclear if he used it. They also believe Thompson feared "a false warning from a friend about a warrant being out for his arrest." They say police have confirmed that there is no such warrant.
