Today in Davis: Picnic in the Park with Odd Man Out
While you listen to the live music, you can help spruce up the community garden.

Among Odd Man Out’s influences are bands like The Beatles, The Byrds and The Eagles. They’ll be bringing their folk, country and Americana sounds to this evening, so go experience their harmonies for yourself from 4:30-8:30 pm.
The band was formed in 2000, when Bruce Koller discovered the cocktail drum set and began learning to play. By 2005, the band was a four-piece, and have been playing shows in Davis and Woodland ever since.
Check out their page on Facebook to learn more about their sound and to see if you'd like to bring a picnic blanket to the park.

Holiday: Today is National Fried Chicken Day, which is probably an effort on behalf of KFC and Popeye’s in hopes of hawking more buckets of drumsticks. It is not documented in the form of congressional records or presidential proclamation.
