Tossing Water Balloons And Napping in Bushes
This police log is an organized list of reported crime in Davis during the last 24 hours.

The following reports were taken during the 24 hours between 5 a.m. on June 19 and 5 a.m. on June 20. Among them you will find incidents involving swerving semi trucks, juveniles tossing water balloons and young men sleeping in bushes.

8:10 a.m. – Petty Theft: Myrtle Tree taken from yard overnight. The caller suspects it was a neighbor whom she complained about for yard-maintenance issues.
8:20 a.m. – Mental Evaluation Request: Woman wearing all black was yelling randomly at things and people. She had a shopping cart filled with items.

10:14 a.m. – Checked Welfare: Elderly man in shorts who was running appeared fatigued and was stumbling.
10:22 a.m. – Graffiti Vandalism: Five juvenile suspects on bikes possibly spray painting the tunnel at the West Olive Drive bike path. The caller walked through the tunnel and the subjects stopped what they were doing until she passed through.

10:52 a.m. – DUI: A semitruck was swerving over the yellow line at Cowell Boulevard and Valdora Street.
12:49 p.m. – Burglary Vehicle: An unknown suspect entered a victim’s locked vehicle at the Stonegate Country Club and stole a cell phone charger and a GPS unit.
12:52 p.m. – Indecent Exposure: Daughter in-law called to report that a male neighbor came into her residence two days ago and unclothed himself.
3:01 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstance: Caller reported that his neighbor had called one hour prior to inform that he/she was on the roof.
4:16 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstance: Suspicious male walked toward back of residence, opened the gate and was “currently in the backyard” at the time of the call to police.
4:29 p.m. – Suspicious Person: Subjects were hanging out around bikes, and looking at them. The caller said they were the same subjects who were there just before her bike was taken. This occurred at Oxford Parkside on Wake Forest Drive.
5:17 p.m. – Mental Evaluation Request: Female with dreadlocks was irate and yelling at people passing by. She was using a walker.
5:50 p.m. – Male loitering outside the Fast and Easy Mart, pacing on foot while talking on the phone and asking for account information. He was a 24-year-old “yellow-skinned male” with a blue T-shirt and gray jeans.
8:04 p.m. – Reckless Driving: Blue muscle car and silver Honda appeared to be racing on W. Covell and Lake boulevards.
9:37 p.m. – Disturbance Physical: A male was pushing and yelling at a female (both in their mid 20s) near 14th and F streets.
11:08 p.m. – Throwing Substance at Vehicle: Juveniles were throwing water balloons at passing vehicles near Sycamore Lane and W. Covell Boulevard.
11:21 p.m. – Drunk in Public: A disoriented male was lying in the bushes between The Grad and AMPM. He had dilated pupils and slurred speech. An arrest was made.
11:54 p.m. – DUI: A silver Toyota Camry was unable to maintain lanes and driving at erratic speeds. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
2:42 a.m. – Burglary Residential: Possible interrupted 459/R (burglary). Two males entered the residence through the unlocked front door and then ran out when the resident yelled at them. They were described as males in their 20s with black hair and athletic builds. One had a gray long-sleeved sweater and the other wore a dark sweater. Nothing was taken.
