Woman Found Dead at Davis Student Housing Complex; 52-Year-old Man Arrested
A 52-year-old Davis man has been arrested on suspicion that he murdered a woman who was found dead at a Davis student housing complex.

DAVIS, CA -- A local man has been arrested and charged with killed a woman who was found dead in her room at a student housing co-op.
At about 9 am on March 3, Davis Police officers responded to the Pacifico Cooperative Community student housing co-op located at 1752 Drew Circle in Davis after a deceased female in her 30s was located inside her room. Based on initial observations, the responding officers quickly considered the death and circumstances to be suspicious, thereby warranting a homicide investigation.
Pacifico Cooperative Community is an independent student housing co-op that's not affiliated with UC Davis.

Detectives and crime scene personnel were called out to the scene, along with the Yolo County Coroner's Office. 52-year-old Davis resident Jonathan Paul Johnson, who was known by the deceased, was taken into custody around 3 p.m. Friday on homicide charges related to the death.
The victim's name is being withheld until the coroner's office can confirm identification, at which time it will be released. Police have said that further details will be released as they become available.
