Woman Robs Downtown Davis US Bank, Gets Away

The female was described as being in her mid-40s with red hair.

A woman robbed the in downtown Davis yesterday.

She entered the bank just after 4 pm and passed the teller a note that she had a gun, although no weapon was seen. The broke the news on Twitter, explaining that nobody was hurt in the exchange.

“The teller gave her an undisclosed amount of cash,” Lt. Paul Doroshov said. “It happened fast.”

The Davis Police Department will examine all evidence and review cameras to see if they can get a better look at the woman’s face. The teller told police the robber was a white female in her mid-40s with red hair, about 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds. She was wearing a blue top with sequins.

It’s unclear whether the woman left in a car, or by other means of transportation. Whether or not surveillance cameras will help the investigation is not yet clear.

“It depends on the angle of the shot,” Doroshov said. “It’s hard to say.”
