Worker's Comp Claim by former UC Cop Moves out of Court and Out of Sight

Former UC Davis police lieutenant John Pike may still get his day in court to argue for a workers’ compensation settlement, but only if his lawyers and attorneys for the university can’t agree on a deal.
Pike drew international notoriety in November 2011 when he was video taped pepper spraying a group unarmed student protesters at the UC Davis campus.

The Davis Enterprise is reporting that the August 13 settlement conference to discuss Pike’s claim has been cancelled.
Because the hearing was removed from the court calendar, another event, the Officer Pike Fiesta of Emotional Support has also been canceled. The fiesta was meant as an opportunity for a demonstration for those opposed to Pike receiving workers’ compensation.
