Car Did Not Brake, Witness Says
One witness of a single-car accident that injured three and killed one dog near the westbound 60 offramp on Diamond Bar Boulevard said that the driver did not hit the brakes before colliding with an embankment.

A car that sped down the westbound 60 offramp and collided into an embankment across Diamond Bar Boulevard Friday made no effort to stop, according to one witness.
Witness Norm Collins, a Walnut resident, said the car was driving at freeway speeds when it hit the end of the offramp.
"There were no brakes applied and no skid marks — nothing," Collins said. "The car just hit the other side along the (57) freeway there and came to an instant stop."

Shortly after, flames emerged under the car, Collins said.
"If we had a green light and were heading through the intersection, it would have wiped some people out," Collins said.

According to CHP reports, one caller reported that the vehicle, a white SUV, was swerving in and out of lanes before exiting the freeway.
Witness Shiv Kalaria said he witnessed the aftermath of the crash as emergency responders worked to resuscitate a man that L.A. County Fire Inspector Quvondo Johnson said was reported as being in full arrest.
Investigators from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office were still at the scene around 5:30 p.m. and could not confirm any deaths in connection with the accident.
One patient was transported via airlift from to a nearby trauma center at around 2:30 p.m.
Johnson said that three people were involved in the crash as well as a dog that was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
