
The city of Diamond Bar is gearing up for its celebration of 25 years of cityhood in a few months and is reaching out to local businesses and community groups to help promoting the big birthday.
The city plans is to "dress up Diamond Bar in its birthday best," according to the city's monthly newsletter. The celebration will include year-round events and festivities that pay homage to the city's past, present, and future, officials said.
Those who own a business or serve on a community organization are invited to participate in the city's 25th Anniversary Ambassador Program.

"As an ambassador, you are allowed use of the City’s commemorative 25th anniversary logo to brand your special events, and provided with posters and window stickers to decorate your storefront," the announcement reads. "In exchange, we will publicize anniversary-branded events or efforts via various City communication mediums and furnish 25th anniversary-themed giveaways for qualifying events."
The city plans to have an information meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at Diamond Bar City Hall, 21800 Copley Drive, for those interested in becoming an ambassador.
