“Let’s Get Ready for Kindergarten” is a year-round kindergarten-readiness program offered through the city of Walnut. The class is designed to prepare your child both academically and socially for success in school. Our curriculum focuses on kindergarten-readiness skills such as letters and the sounds they make, number sense, counting, sorting, patterning, shapes, colors, calendar skills, scissor, & pencil use, as well as social studies and science. Students will learn to raise their hand, wait their turn, problem solve, and follow multi-step directions, while demonstrating appreciation and respect for their classmates. Our safe, clean, and colorful classroom is full of engaging, state-of-the art learning tools and toys. Each day, we incorporate play, structured whole and small group activities, along with games, reading, music, songs, and arts & crafts to make learning fun. We teach fundamental language art and math skills through engaging thematic units. The class is taught by Angela Goss, a credentialed teacher with a background in elementary education, and Elizabeth Sabogal who previously taught in a Montessori school. Please visit our website:
