Diamond Bar's Alex Morgan was a critical part of both scoring runs from Team USA in the second half, during a game that ended 2-2 after regulation and extra time Sunday.

Diamond Bar's Alex Morgan may be new to Team USA, but her game is the same. 

After scoring her first World Cup goal against France Wednesday, the team's youngest player — at 22 — took the lead on offense in Sunday's World Cup, scoring the U.S. squad's first goal and assisting on a second to Abby Wambach. 

Team USA lost 3-1 in penalty kicks against Japan, who took the world title Sunday.
