Sheriff's Identify Murder Suspect in Del Sol Shooting

Kyle Jacobs, 26, of Diamond Bar, was booked on charges of murder Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting on N. Del Sol Lane.

A man has been booked on charges of murder in connection with . 

The man, 26-year-old Kyle Jacobs, was living at the residence in the 1100 block of N. Del Sol Lane as roommates with the victim, 39-year-old Ryan Modica of Concho, Ariz., in weeks prior to the incident. 

"The incident is stemming from an ongoing argument between the two and it erupted that day," Sgt. John O'Brien of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau said.

A booking report shows that Jacobs was taken into custody at the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's station Thursday at 11:40 a.m., following the shooting that was reported at 10:35 a.m.

Jacobs is currently being held on $1 million bail and Sgt. O'Brien said that charges are expected to be filed Monday at the Pomona Courthouse.
