One suspect is still at large after police set a perimeter and scoured the area around a burglary reported in the 23000 block of Chandelle Place at 1:18 p.m.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Steve Katz said Sheriff's did not locate a third suspect spotted by the victims of the crime after "scouring" the neighborhood where the crime was reported.

The suspect was described as a man in his early 20s, standing about 6 feet tall and 220 pounds, according to Los Angeles Sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker.

Katz said the two suspects taken into custody were captured with the help of Sheriff's police dogs in the attic of a separate home on Gold Rush Drive. One of the suspects sustained injuries in relation to the capture and both were transported to the hospital to be medically cleared before they will be booked on burglary charges at the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station.

Katz said the vehicle recovered by Sheriff's did not have Oklahoma plates as previously reported, but California plates. The car will be searched for fingerprints or other items that may lead Sheriff's to the third suspect.

Sheriff's dispatched units from Industry, Walnut/Diamond Bar, San Dimas, Temple City, and Pico Rivera, Katz said, in addition to around eight K-9 units and two helicopter patrols.

Capt. Mike Parker of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Headquarter Bureau said that part of the pursuit took place in a wooded area next to neighborhood where the burglary was reported.

Katz said Sheriff's will seek further information from the two suspects captured around 5 p.m. Monday.
