Sheriff's Uncover Pot House in Rowland Heights, Seeking Suspects

Sheriff's discovered a maturing marijuana growing facility in a Rowland Heights home Thursday evening with 721 plants valued at an estimated street value of $1.8 million.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's officers discovered 721 high-value marijuana plants at a home in Rowland Heights after a search conducted Thursday night. 

According to a Sheriff's report, officers at the department's Walnut/Diamond Bar Station received a tip about a residence in the 13000 block of Otterbein Avenue and contacted the Industry Narcotics crew who responded. 

Detectives obtained a search warrant for the home and discovered 721 plants nearing maturity, which were estimated to have a street value of over $1.8 million.

Detectives also discovered "sophisticated hydroponic and lighting equipment" and representatives from Southern California Edison advised Sheriff's that the suspects had also stolen around $25,000 in electricity.
