Quality Of Student Textbooks On Walnut Valley School Board Agenda

WALNUT, CA — The Walnut Valley Unified School District Board of Education will meet Wednesday to discuss whether or not students have textbooks and instructional materials that are up to current education standards.

District officials will look at materials dealing with mathematics, science, history, English language arts, English language development, foreign language and health, according to the agenda.

The discussion will go over whether or not the materials are “consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework adopted by the State Board of Education.”

Community members will have an opportunity to provide their input on the discussion during the meeting.

The Board of Education will meet Wednesday, 6 p.m., and residents can watch the meeting on the district website.
