Temple Avenue To Temporarily Close At Mt. San Antonio College

The road will close for two weekends in August during the construction of a pedestrian bridge at the Walnut-based college.

WALNUT, CA — Motorists who drive on a portion of Temple Avenue will have to use an alternative route this month as a part of the road through Mt. San Antonio College will be closed to traffic for construction.

Temple Avenue between Grand Avenue and Bonita Avenue will be closed to traffic over the course of two weekends as the college builds a new 900-foot pedestrian bridge that will span across the road, college officials said in a statement. The road will be closed for 12 hours each day, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The first of the closures will happen this Friday and last through Sunday, while the second will occur Aug. 20 through 22.

Mountaineer Road to Edinger Way to Bonita Avenue will be open as an alternative route, the college said.
