Woman Struck, Killed on Pomona Street ID'd

POMONA, CA - Authorities on Tuesday identified a woman who was struck by a car and killed on a road in Pomona.
It happened on Reservoir Street north of Phillips Boulevard at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, Pomona police Sgt. William Tucker said.
Yolanda Porter, 55, of Pomona died at the scene, coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter said. A Nissan Altima was southbound on Reservoir Street when it struck Porter, according to Tucker.

The driver was a Chino resident who showed no signs of intoxication, remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, the sergeant said.
Reservoir Street was closed between Phillips Boulevard and Grand Avenue for several hours during the investigation. Anyone with information was asked to call traffic investigators at (909) 620-2081.
