19-year-old Dixon Man Arrested on Suspicion of Grand Theft

19-year-old Dixon man suspected of breaking into parked cars along Industrial Way Wednesday night

An alert shop owner helped Dixon Police officers capture a Dixon man who is suspected of breaking into cars on the 300 block of Industrial Way Wednesday night.

The shop owner phoned police Wednesday at 11 p.m., after he saw Joshua Lee Rico, 19, prowling in the area according to police. Officers arrived to the scene and found Rico hiding behind a boat near Mike’s Marine on Business Park Drive.

The officers found Rico in possession of stereo equipment that was allegedly taken from cars parked in the area, along with some burglary tools, police said. Rico was arrested on suspicion of grand theft, vandalism and possession of burglary tools. He was taken to the Solano County Jail, where he was being held on $15,000 bail.
