2011 / 2012 Dixon Lions Club's Officers Installed

Dixon, July 12, 2011-- An installation ceremony was held on June 22 at Tomat’s restaurant in Winters for incoming officers of the Dixon Lions Club. Scott Smith was elected as the club president for 2011 / 2012. Scott has been an active member of the Dixon Lions Club for the past four years.

Don H. Osborn was elected to serve as the club secretary, Robert Sperry assistant secretary. The club’s first vice-president will be Stacy Davison, second vice David Kushan & third vice Dan Forbes.Β  Other board members elected were Rich Bedoya (Treasurer), Craig West (Membership), John Rotteveel (Tail Twister), Jeff Dwelley (Past President), Jim Tenbrink & Jerry Brickey (2 Year Board members) and Chris Ford, David Chance & Scott Remillong (1 Year Board Members)

According to Scott Smith, new club president, β€œWe are looking forward to leading various projects and continuing the Dixon Lion Club’s commitment to serving the Dixon community.”

Since the club’s chartering in 1954, proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to Dixon Toys for Tots, Dixon Schools Athletic Boosters, elementary & middle school programs, Wreaths Across America, DHS open House, DHS Basketball, Dixon Little League, Dixon Dolphins Swim Team, Dixon Destination Imagination, Dixon Bid for Kids, Dixon FFA, Dixon High School scholarships & Lions Club Vision Programs. The club is currently planning for their Texas Hold-Em Poker Night on Saturday, August 13, 2011.Β  For more information about the poker night, please call David Kushan at 530-400-2844.
