SOLANO COUNTY β A fourth community meeting to allow residents to review the current three proposals for reshaping supervisorial district boundaries will be held Monday, June 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Vacaville Town Square Library.
The extra community meeting was added as part of the Board of Supervisors study session on Tuesday, June 7, that examined the redistricting options presented at the three prior community workshops in late May.Β This study session has been continued to Tuesday, June 14.

As a result of the additional community meeting, the initial public hearing on redistricting originally scheduled for June 14 has been postponed to Wednesday, June 22 at 9 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 675 Texas St. in Fairfield.
During the June 7 study session, the Board gave staff direction to develop additional redistricting boundary scenarios.Β These additional maps are being prepared for the June 22 public hearing.

The public input received to date and at the June 13 community meeting will be factored into the design of the maps being presented to the Board on June 22.
As a result of the decennial census, the County is examining a variety of district boundary scenarios to ensure the supervisorial districts are as nearly equal in population as possible. The Countyβs population according to the 2010 Census is 413,344 and each district target is 82,669 residents.
