Annual National Night Out Party Aims to Curb Crime in Dixon

Once again Dixon will join with numerous other cities across the nation to celebrate the 28^th Annual National Night Out.

This is an opportunity to give crime a going away party, as well as giving individuals within the neighborhoods an opportunity to meet each other.

On August 2, 2011, from 7–10 p.m., Dixon residents will gather outside their homes for an evening of games, barbeques and socializing.

The priorities remain the same as we all want to have a safe neighborhood where it is safe for our children to play. 

Those who would like to organize a block party are encouraged to either come into the police department to pick up a block party request form or call and request a form be sent to you.  The information on the form will assist the police department in scheduling visits to the individual parties.

Additionally this is an opportunity to promote a partnership between the police department, fire department and the community.
