The City of Dixon is currently accepting applications for one vacancy on the Solano County Mosquito Abatement District Board. The Board's purpose is to conduct effective programs for the surveillance, prevention, abatement, and control of mosquitoes.
The Board of Trustees establish the policies for the operation of the District. Trustees serve 2-year or 4-year terms at the discretion of the appointing authority. The Board meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
Interested Dixon residents may obtain an application at City Hall, 600 East A Street, by calling 678-7000, or by visiting the City's web site at www.ci.dixon.ca.us. Deadline for filing applications is Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 at 5 p.m.
