Dixon Fire Department to Host Fireworks Workshop

The City of Dixon Fire Department is presently designing a program to accommodate the sales and use of Safe and Sane Fireworks in the City of Dixon.

In an effort to allow as many community groups as possible an opportunity for input as to the design of this program, the Fire Department is hosting a community workshop.

Items such as the application process, permit process, regulations for the sales and storage of fireworks, dates, hours, fees and the lottery process will be discussed.

Community groups such as service clubs, church groups, youth groups, athletic boosters, veteran’s organizations and other non-profits are encouraged to attend and give your input into this new community program.

The community workshop will be held on March 10th 2011 at the City Council Chambers, 600 East “A” Street, Dixon. It begins at 7 pm. For more information you can reach the Dixon Fire Department at (707) 678-7060.
