Bil chronicled the history of Maine Prairie in two Dixon Then and Now columns titled “,” and “.”  

Bil's research paints a fascinating portrait of a town that once thrived as a major shipping port for a variety of crops grown in and around Dixon.   Sunday’s gathering is sponsored by the Dixon Historical Society and will begin at 2 p.m., at the church located on 209 North Jefferson St. Everyone is welcomed.
