Get to Know Your Wild Neighbors at Lynch Canyon and Lake Solano

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – Enjoy two walks on the wild side this weekend!Β  This Saturday from 10am to 1pm, take a hike with naturalist and birder Jim Walsh at Lynch Canyon.Β  See for yourself why it was named one of the β€œSeven (hidden) wonders of the West” by Sunset Magazine.Β  Meet in the parking lot at 10am.

Then this Sunday from 10am to noon, join a guided walk at Lake Solano.Β  Travel the same paths as Native Americans and pioneers did in earlier times; get a closer look at the plants and trees that take root in the rich soils; look for bugs, turtles, and birds; search for evidence of beavers, otters, deer and foxes; and watch fish swim in the aquariums.Β  Meet in the courtyard next to the Nature Center at 10am.
