Making a change has a double meaning for two Dixon 4-H girls who started a campaign last year to help young mothers with diaper donations and who are doing the drive again this year.
Hannah Crawford and Kaylee Lindgren wanted to do something to help people after learning that many of the increased numbers of Solano County families in need had children still in diapers.
Last year, with the help from contributors all across the county, the girls "Rounded-Up" close to 3,000 diapers. All of the diapers were distributed to Family Resource Centers in Dixon, Benicia, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun, Vacaville, and Vallejo. They also went to local hospitals, clinics, and to needy families.

The girls are asking the Community to once again "Round-Up" those diapers and help them surpass last yearβs total. They will gladly accept full packages as well as single diapers or open packages, they said.
Anyone who can help, can make donations by contacting Wolfskill 4-H in Dixon at (707) 678-2245, or can email at hannah.elyse@sbcglobal.net to arrange pick up.

βThe cost of diapers is really high and we wanted to help these families, β said Crawford, βWe knew if we went county-wide, weβd get more diapers. We didnβt feel families would have to choose between putting gas in their car or putting diapers on their baby,β she said.
