Solano County Sheriff Gary R. Stanton is pleased to announce the promotion of Correctional Officer Paula Toynbee to the rank of Correctional Sergeant.
In 1991, Paula Toynbee began her career as a correctional officer with the Solano County Sheriff's Office. During Paula's 20 years with the Sheriff's Office, she has worked in various departmental assignments at the main jail and Claybank facilities.

Paula has been a member of the Sheriff's Hostage/Crisis Negotiations Team since 2000,Β and now currently holds the position of assistant team leader.Β In 2002, she was selected as a part of the Sheriff's Public Information Team, and in 2004 was given the privilege to serve the Sheriff's Office and the community as primary Public Information Officer.
During that time she was assigned to the Solano County Office of Emergency Services.Β Paula has also served as a part of the Sheriff's Peer Support Team, Sheriff's Public Recruitment and Relations Team, and as instructor to the Sheriff's Citizens Academy.Β Paula was recently promoted to the rank of Sergeant-Corrections effective June 12, 2011.
