Trees For Dixon to Plant Trees at Veterans Park For California Arbor Week

Who: Trees for Dixon, Mayor Jack Batchelor

What: Trees for Dixon is hosting a local tree planting event to celebrate California Arbor Week. 4 trees donated by members will be planted by volunteers. We have 100 deciduous shade tree seedlings to give away to Dixon residents on a first come first serve basis.

Where: Veterans Park - Valley Glen Drive, Dixon

When: Saturday, March 10^th 9AM

Why: The purpose of California Arbor Week is to promote the important effects trees have on our lives and our communities. Through collaboration with volunteers, local officials, the support of California ReLeaf and the work of local organizations, California Arbor Week is sure to make a positive impact in the Dixon community.

Trees for Dixon is a brand new non-profit, volunteer based community tree planting organization working to enhance the beauty and contribute to the livability of our community by planting and caring for trees . We invite all community members who support this effort to attend our very first planting event.
