Authorities Identify 2 Killed In Crash Near Dixon

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — The Solano County coroner's office has identified two drivers who died in a head-on collision Friday evening north of Hay Road near Dixon in unincorporated Solano County as Lynne Waite, 74, of Brentwood, and 24-year-old Ramon Lopez.

Waite was driving a silver Kia Sorrento south on state Highway 113 around 55 mph when a northbound Mini Cooper traveling more than 70 mph collided head-on with the Kia around 4:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Lopez, the Mini Cooper driver, drifted to the right and overcorrected to the left before the collision, CHP officials said.

Both drivers perished in the collision. Lopez's city of residence was not available, according to the coroner's office.
