Body Found Floating in Suisun Bay Identified

The body of male found floating near the Suisun Reserve Fleet on March 6 has been identified as 26-year-old Daniel Calderon.

The body found floating in the Suisun Bay has been identified as missing boater, Daniel Calderon, 26, of Manteca.

Solano County Sheriff’s Department released a report today stating that Calderon went missing the night of January 23 during a fishing trip, and it wasn’t until Friday, March 5, shortly before 6:30 pm, a fisherman notified Solano Dispatch of a possible body floating in the water near the Suisun Reserve Fleet.

The Solano County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol unit, Coroner’s Investigators, and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the area and recovered the body of a deceased male.

Sheriff’s report that an autopsy was conducted and the cause of death is still undetermined pending toxicology results.

The investigation into Daniel Calderon’s disappearance and death are on-going and no further details are available for release.

β€œOur thoughts are with the Calderon family during this difficult time,” Solano Sheriff’s Department released today, asking anyone with information to call the Solano County Sheriff’s Office Investigation’s Bureau at 707-784-7050.
