Man Struck, Killed On I-80 In Hit-And-Run: CHP

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A 34-year-old man was killed Sunday morning when he was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Vacaville, California Highway Patrol officials said Monday.

The vehicle that struck the man left the scene of the collision that occurred around 5:10 a.m. west of Weber Road, according to the CHP.

The vehicle and the male pedestrian were in the No. 3 lane of eastbound Highway 80. There are no descriptions of the vehicle from witnesses, CHP Officer David Harvey said.

According to the Solano County coroner's office, the man's name isn't yet being released because his next of kin have not been notified of the death.
