Citizen's Commitee Sought for City Manager Selection Process

The City of Dixon puts the call out to the community to serve on a committee that will assist with the hiring of the new city manager

The City of Dixon is seeking interested City of Dixon residents to serve on a 13 member Citizen’s Committee that will interview City Manager candidates and provide input to the City Council on the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of these candidates.

Of the 13 member Committee, five members will be appointed by the City Council, and the remaining eight members will be selected through a random drawing from notes of interest received which will occur at a regularly scheduled City Council meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011.

In order to be considered for this Citizen’s Committee, interested Dixon residents must provide a note of interest, to the attention of Steve Johnson, Acting City Clerk that includes: their name, mailing address, e-mail address (if available) and phone number.  Notes will be accepted by: regular U.S. mail, e-mail, fax or can be dropped off at Dixon City Hall, at the following sites:
