Coroner Identifies Dixon Woman Killed In Batavia Road Crash
The 77-year-old died Thursday when another driver ran a stop sign at Batavia and Midway roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.
DIXON, CA — The Solano County coroner's office has identified a woman who died after a vehicle collision Thursday near Dixon as Mary Montague, 77, of Dixon. Montague was driving a Toyota Camry east on Midway Road around 2:50 p.m. and a 22-year-old woman from Modesto was driving a Hyundai Elantra south on Batavia Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Modesto woman drove through a stop sign and collided with the left side of the Toyota, which overturned and struck a tree, CHP officials said. Montague was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Hyundai driver was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries, according to the CHP.
