Dixon Man Arrested After Argument with Roommate

A Dixon man went to jail early Sunday morning after allegedly threatening his roommate, carrying two concealed weapons in his vehicle

An argument between two roommates landed one of them in jail early Sunday morning.

Dixon Police officers arrested Salvador Muniz Verdusco, 43, of Dixon on suspicion of making criminal terrorist threats, carrying a concealed weapon, DUI, carrying a loaded handgun in a public place and being in possession of a firearm without an identification mark.

Dixon Police Sgt. Tony Morris said Verdusco and his roommate were arguing at their apartment on the 200 block of Stratford Avenue at midnight. They were arguing over bills when Verdusco allegedly threatened his co-inhabitant. The roommate left the apartment and called police after he heard gunshots, Morris said.

Police went to the apartment but Verdusco left by the time they arrived, Morris said. During a search of the apartment, the officers found spent .22-caliber casings.

Hours later, at 2:25 a.m., police went to the area once again in response to reports of gunshots. As they were investigating the reports, Verdusco drove up to the scene Morris said, and was taken into custody.

A search of Verdusco’s vehicle yielded two handguns, Morris said. They also found that Verdusco was DUI at the time of his arrest. Morris said that officers were unable to determine if Verdusco shot at his roommate or fired the weapons elsewhere – over the weekend, police responded to several calls of fireworks in the city, Morris said.

Verdusco was transported to the Solano County Jail where he was held on a bail amount of $15,000 for the felony charge of making criminal terrorist threats.
