Dixon Mayor Jack Batchelor, Congressman John Garamendi to Break Ground at I-80 Cordelia Scales Relocation Project

Congressman John Garamendi (D-Fairfield, CA), a former Member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Friday will join a number of local transportation officials including Dixon Mayor Jack Batchelor for the I-80 Cordelia Truck Scales Relocation Project Groundbreaking Ceremony.
This project will rebuild and relocate the existing eastbound Cordelia Truck Scales on Interstate 80 (I-80), in Solano County. Additionally, the project will include a 4-lane bridge across the Suisun Creek and feature braided ramps from the new scale facility. This project will reduce congestion, facilitate the movement of goods, and improve the reliability of the system.

Joining Batchelor and Garamendi are Daryl Halls, Executive Director Solano Transportation Authority; Malcolm Dougherty, California Department of Transportation Acting Director; Bijan Sartipi, California Department of Transportation District 4 Director; Jim Spering, Solano County Board of Supervisors/MTC Commissioner; and Teresa Becher, CHP Chief.
The ceremony will take place today at 10 a.m., at 2543 Cordelia Road, Fairfield.
