Dixon Woman Injured In Monday's Fairfield Commute Pile Up

By Bay City News
A Dixon woman who was injured in a five-car crash on westbound Interstate Highway 80 in Fairfield Monday morning is in critical condition today in the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, hospital spokesman Ben Drew said.
Kelsa Gentry, 32, was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla in the No. 3 lane around 7:15 a.m. when her car was stuck from behind by a 2004 GMC Yukon driven by Timothy Rose, 36, of Windsor, California Highway Patrol Sgt. Phil Grant said.

The collision east of Waterman Boulevard pushed the Toyota into a 2012 Mini Cooper, which struck a 2007 Honda Pilot, which hit a 1987 Ford Mustang, Grant said.

Gentry was the most seriously injured driver involved in the chain reaction crash that sent the other four drivers to local hospitals with minor to moderate injuries, Grant said.

Traffic in that area of westbound Highway 80 was backed up and moving slowly because of a previous collision several miles ahead, Grant said.
