Dixonite Arrested on Suspicion of Armed Robbery, Held on $35,000 Bail
A quick response led to the arrest of a Dixon man suspected of robbing a Dixon liquor store Monday night.

A 24-year-old Dixon man was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery Monday night shortly after he robbed Discount Liquors next to Safeway on Stratford Avenue according to police.
Authorities said Felipe DeJesus Ponce-Tejeda walked into the store around 8:45 p.m., and brandished a handgun. He demanded money from the store clerk and took an undisclosed amount of cash before exiting the store.
Officers arrived at the store and received a description of the suspected robber – a Hispanic male adult, wearing a black jacket, jeans, and a blue bandana over his face; armed with a black handgun and last seen on foot towards Pitt School Road.

Police located Tejeda, who matched the description given to the officers, walking near the corner of West H and North Lincoln streets and took him into custody without incident.
The officers were able to locate the gun, a semi-automatic, Beretta-style handgun and also recovered the money allegedly taken from the store.

No injuries were reported. Tejeda was taken to Solano County Jail, where he was being held on $35,000 bail.
