Dixon's Population Grew By 14 Percent Within the Last Decade
According to U.S. Census Bureau statistics released today Dixon is bigger, more Hispanic

The population in Dixon rose by 14 percent within the last decade according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau today.
Overall, 18,351 individuals call Dixon their home according to the latest Census report, which is an increase of 2,248 residents compared to 2000.
California’s population grew by 9.9 percent to 37,253,956 from 3,382,308 in 2000. In Dixon, the adult population (individuals who reported being 18 years or older) rose by 18 percent to 13,002 from 10,947 in 2000.

In addition, 40 percent of the Dixon’s population is Hispanic (7,426 individuals) according to the report. In 2000, Dixon’s Hispanic population was reported at 5,414, which at the time amounted to 33.6 percent of the population.
