With the upcoming Nov. 8 election coming closer, the Solano County Registrar of Voters released these set of interesting facts.

Election Parameters

Odd-year November elections are governed by the Uniform District Election Law (UDEL; Elections Code §§ 10500 – 10604); however, certain statutes for schools, cities, and special districts can deviate from UDEL statutes.

Most, but not all, County voters have the opportunity to participate in the election.  We have 199,311 registered voters and 193,618 (97.14 percent) may vote in one or more contests.   The only areas not part of the election are Rio Vista and the unincorporated territory near it; the Davis Joint Unified School District; and the Winters Joint Unified School District.  127 voters in Napa County are also in the election as they are in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District.
