Fire Destroys Abandoned Victorian Home Near Dixon
The abandoned and boarded up house near Bulkley and Midway roads was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — A two-alarm fire destroyed an abandoned Victorian house in rural Solano County east of Dixon this morning, Dixon Fire Department Chief George Lewis said. The abandoned and boarded up house near Bulkley and Midway roads was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived around 10 a.m., Lewis said. The fire also burned about a quarter-acre of dry grass.
It's not known if the fire started in the grass or the structure, and the cause is under investigation, Lewis said.
Firefighters from Davis, Winters, Vacaville and the Vacaville Fire Protection District also sent crews to extinguish the fire.
