Four Teens Arrested After High Speed Pursuit in Stolen Truck: Police

Officials say the group stole a red truck and led multiple agencies from Vacaville to Rio Vista on a dangerous chase.

VACAVILLE, CA- Vacaville police said four juveniles in a stolen red truck were apprehended after a pursuit Saturday night. At about 8 p.m., a Vacaville police officer tried to stop a Chevrolet truck that was reported stolen in Kern County.

California Highway Patrol officers, Solano County sheriff's deputies and Rio Vista police joined the 25-mile chase that reached speeds up to 100 mph from rural Vacaville onto state Highways 113 and 12, police said. Rio Vista police made a traffic break as the chase approached the Rio Vista Bridge and requested raising the vehicle barriers on the bridge.

The pursuit ended when the truck crashed into the barriers. The four juveniles were apprehended and taken into custody, police said.
