Meet One of Dixon's Newest Cops: Officer Melton

One of Dixon's newest police officers is a longtime resident and a Chilean native.

The Dixon Police Department welcomed Officer Melton, one of two recent hires, on its Facebook page Wednesday:

Officer Melton is one of two of the newest members of the Dixon Police Department. Officer Melton is a longtime Dixon resident and is happy to have the opportunity to serve her community as a Dixon Police Officer. Officer Melton was born in Chile, South America and immigrated to the United States as a child. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their 4 children with events such as softball and motorcycle riding. 

Officer Melton graduated from the Napa Police Academy in 2010. The Dixon Police Department is excited to have Officer Melton as one of the newest members of the Police Department.
