No Show Generates Win For DHS Swim Team

West Campus was a no show, Dixon swims away with a win

The rain stayed away Thursday, but Dixon High School's swim team was ready for the water. But the other team was a no show so they forfeited, making Dixon an easy winner.

Coach Adrienne Anderson explained: "We are going through with the meet, even without the other team. Our swim team was exited to have this meet today we just couldn't take it away."

We didn't really see any records broken, but all of the swim team members put in a good effort, as is evident by the results attached to this article. There where only a few supporters, mostly parents and other students, making me wish more people would take an interest in DHS sports and come support a team.

The students had fun and completed a successful meet. It would have been cool to see an actual meet but I guess I will have to wait for the next one.

I found it kind of hard to find information about any of the DHS sports, so I thought I would provide a list of websites to check if you are interested.

Dixon Unifed School District: The website of the Dixon Unified School District, has a page with an overview of DHS information.
MaxPreps.com: This seems to be the website with all of the up-to-date DHS sports information. Although I found some of the information to be wrong, I am sure some one is working hard to update this site. It seems the coaches do most of the work here.
DHS Telegram: For students by students, student journalism at its best.

I am a photographer and you can find me at a lot of the sports meets here in town. For new photo's the best place to visit is my flickr account. I will post most of the pictures I take there.
