OP-ED: Dixon Positive Action Committee Addresses Sewer Problems

Letter to the Citizens of Dixon, 

For more than eight years, a broad-based citizens committee appointed by the Dixon City Council studied the critical issue of how best Dixon could address its wastewater (sewer) service problem. They studied the science, the regulations, technologies, costs, and system improvement needs. The City Council has received their input and has hired specialized consultants to refine the project plans, calculate estimated costs, and prepare all of the complex technical, financial, and environmental documents needed to take the next steps toward resolving this long existing problem. 

 The Dixon Positive Action Committee (DPAC) is a group of Dixon residents committed to helping our community be the best it can be: encouraging informed debate, supporting responsible and reasonable leaders, promoting positive change.

 At this time, DPAC intends to thoroughly review all of the information and documentation. Our goal is to discuss the pros and cons of the proposed wastewater system upgrades and the associated costs.  DPAC encourages all Dixon residents to do the same.
