Solano Sheriff's Department Promotes Two
Two Solano County deputy sheriffs are promoted to rank of Sergeant-Sheriff

Solano County Sheriff Gary R. Stanton is pleased to announce the promotion of two deputy sheriffs to the rank of Sergeant-Sheriff.
Deputy Jonathan Mazer has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant-Sheriff effective Nov. 13, 2011. Jonathan began his career as a deputy sheriff on July 29, 1996.

Deputy Mazer has worked a wide variety of assignments in the Sheriff’s Office including Patrol, Investigations, Marine Patrol, Court Services, and the Transportation Bureau.
Deputy Mazer has also served as a founding member of the Solano County Inter-Agency Hazmat Response Team, the Solano County Mobile Field Force, and the Sheriff’s Bicycle Patrol Team.

Deputy Michael Pimentel has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant-Sheriff effective November 27, 2011. Mike began his career as a deputy sheriff on August 5, 2002. Mike has worked a variety of assignments with the Sheriff’s Office including Patrol, Marine Patrol, Bicycle Patrol, and Firearms Instructor.
Both supervisors will be assigned to the Patrol Bureau upon promotion.
