Stolen and Burned Work Van Found in Solano County
Police are looking for information in the theft of a burned-out work van that was found in Solano County.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Police are looking for information in the theft of a burned-out work van that was found in Solano County after neighbors called police upon hearing what sounded like gunshots.
Residents in the unincorporated area of Elmira were woken up to what they thought was the sound of gunfire just after 5:30 am on Friday, Feb. 10 in the 5400 block of Vaca Station Road.
When Solano County Sheriff's deputies arrived, they found a full-sized van engulfed in flames. The “gunshot” sounds people heard were actually the tires on the van exploding in the fire. It turns out the work van, which had rapidrooter.biz written on the side, was stolen from the owner’s Vacaville home earlier in the night.
