Tomato Spill Near Pedrick Makes For A Slippery Commute Today

Thousands of pounds of tomatoes spilled in Dixon early Tuesday, causing the road to be quite slippery with the ketchup-y like substance, according to NBC news.

California Highway Patrol log reported, a semi-truck had an accident about 2:50 a.m. at Dixon Avenue and Pedrick Road in Solano County.

Pedrick was briefly shut down about 3:30 a.m. because the road was "extremely slippery," according to the log. The road was reopened after 5 a.m., but was still quite gooey with the scattered red fruit.
