Too $hort, Gingerbread Houses Are Best Bets

The spirit of Christmas can sometimes be found in the tiniest of places, even in a gingerbread house. One of this weekend's Best Bets can be found at the Dixon Senior/Multi-Use Center Saturday as it hosts its

Children and adults alike can learn how to create these sometimes elaborate treats and take them home afterwards. The workshop is recommended for children of ages 5 and up. The center is located at 201 South 5th St., and the workshop runs from 10-11:30 a.m., cost is $18.

This week's second Best Bet is for anyone who loves hip-hop music. Bay Area rap legend Too $hort will be performing at La Cabana in Suisun City, 325 Main St., on Saturday. This pioneer of Bay Area hip-hop has a storied career and is one of the Bay Area's most prolific rappers.
