Two Dixon High Students Take Second Place at Future Farmers of America Speech Competition
DHS senior Kelsie Aasen and sophomore Devon Minnema took second place at a FFA speech competition held in Napa Thursday night

Congratulations to Kelsie Aesen and Devon Minnema, both Dixon High School students and Future Farmers of America members, who took second place at FFA speech competitions Thursday night in Napa.
Kelsie, a senior at DHS who is FFA president, gave a speech on food safety and took second place in the extemporaneous speech category. Devon, who is a sophomore at DHS and FFA greenhand, did a speech on agricultural subsidies and took second place in the prepared speech category at the competition.
